Spring is officially here and boy we are welcoming it with open arms and happy hearts! It is lovely being able to go on walks, play outside as a family, and soak up the vitamin d.... plus everyone always sleeps better during the warmer months!
LaVon is in transition mode with getting out of the military and is treating it like a full time job! He has been given to different job offers so far with salary negotiations in the works with two great companies that we see a lot of growth and potential with! We are very excited amd know the Lord's hand is definitely involved in on this! LaVon continues to study for his CISSP certification which he will test for on june 30! Hard work and determination are what he is made of :)
Joy is 8 weeks out from her scheduled csection for our fourth and final baby. It is saddening to think Cici will be the last for us but know it is the right decision for our family. She will undergo a tubal ligation at the same time as the csection and is grateful to only have to undergo one surgery and recovery. Hoping all goes smoothly for that. Cici is a very active baby who loves to kick and punch in all directions at the same time with minimal resting periods. It is exhausting as Joy feels the chaos inside and sees the craziness of cyle, caylinn, and cali on the outside..... lots of deep breathing to keep the stress levels down and lots of chocolate and diet dr. Pepper ;)
Cyle is a ball of energy that is growing like a weed and developing so incredibly fast! He is such an obedient son and is always quick to help with his siblings and chores. A huge blessing! He is really looking forward to sharing his room with his uncle Luke this summer while Luke helps around the house with the kids and completes a summer course here at the community college. Cyle is getting so excited to turn 8 and is gaining such a strong testimony! He is picking up on signs like crazy at church from the Deaf branch in DC and is slowly understanding truly how to communicate with his sister in every situation! Cyle is the rock for all his sisters and is wonderful with them although he too needs some alone time.... but, dont we all!?
Caylinn is coming along quite well. She has really been struggling at school this year after her incident last summer... she has not fully recouped. Her memory struggles the most and her attention span has been shot. Thanks to her wonderful school we have recieved the diagnosis of adhd at an early age and knowing what we are facing has helped guide her along in so many great ways! Caylinn's strength and endurance through trials and hardships is one of a kind and she remains happy and content and joyfully serves everyone in the family to make sure everyone is okay! Her spirit is so strong and her glee is contagious! Her vocal skills have really started to be much clearer and she is more understandable! She still prefers to sign and her normal communication skills are expanding. Her newest addition to her communication skills is asking how your school day was, your work day, your day at home, if you are happy, okay, tired, angry, or sad..... such an improvement from around christmas time when all she understood to ask was whats your name..... slow and steady.... we are getting there. She has started to really decline in her cochlear implant use and really does not like to have them on. We respect her choice and know she has to accept it for herself and we cant push it on her.
Cali is on the go all the time! She now runs everywhere and loves taking us by the hand and guiding us where She wants to be! Her sign language and speech are exploding and her sense of curiosity and adventure have hit! She loves being crazy and getting dizzy! She loves the park (slides are her favorite!) Her favorite new found activity at home is climbing up on chairs and tables..... needless to say timeouts, sorry, and I love yous are rocking her world now! Thankfully she actually takes it seriously and doesn't just laugh and smile and run away anymore.... she knows when her hands go on the wall for a minute she's in trouble... she is officially in her big girl bed now and loves it! She is practically potty training herself and mom is dragging it out for as long as she can to avoid any regression with Cicilia's arrival!
LaVon and Joy celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary this year and had fun going to the new sonic here and looking and drooling over classic cars and trucks! It was lots of fun and we look forward to many more years on this crazy roller coaster ride!
LOVE to all of you and hope you too are enjoying thw many blessings in your life!
