Let's sit down and dish!

Things have slowed down enough for me to catch my breath...and hopefully catch you all up with what is going on with the Scoble clan. Thomas and I bought a house and were able to move in the beginning of October. It's a beautiful 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom house in a great neighborhood! It's a young community with lots of little kids which is nice for Luke. Luke loves to play at the community park that's down the street from us. The house was a foreclosure property and so it comes with lots of projects (I guess any house does). So far we have fixed the leaking tub and faucet, the broken air conditioner condensation pipe (that also created mold in our kitchen), the electrical issues in the kitchen, and soon to be the garage door (we are waiting for the parts to arrive). Next up we have the broken bedroom window and the kitchen sink, dishwasher, microwave, and garbage disposal. Notice the kitchen is mentioned a few times...needless to say the kitchen needs a lot of TLC! Although the projects and the budget for the projects can be stressful at times, we are just glad to finally be in a home!

Thomas is such a good man and is working 2 jobs right now to help fund the projects. He loves working at Unique Communications! They really are like a second family and they treat all of us that way. Once a month the company invites and pays for all of the families to come out for lunch. Thomas can take Luke to work with him at any time and they provide a play room for all of the kids. They also have a work out room that is available for Thomas or I to use. The owner is very friendly and family oriented and works alongside the employees. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better job for Thomas that uses his college degree. Thomas also works a couple of nights a week at GameStop which I think he secretly enjoys. He worked there before his mission and feels pretty comfortable with working sales. I think he likes being able to talk to people about one of his passions...which is games. It's a fun uncomplicated job that he enjoys. Win!Win!

I stay busy trying to keep up with my VERY busy little man! I really enjoy staying home with him and teaching him. It amazes me how much he learns and develops every day. I have recently taking up some sewing projects; one being Luke's Halloween costume. It turned out adorable so it was worth the effort. With the holidays coming up, I stay pretty busy making homemade gifts. I can't go into detail but they are coming along great. I haven't lost anymore weight since the biggest loser challenge :( but eventually I will get back on track.

Luke is growing up WAY too fast! He is 18 months going on 5 it feels like. He has recently learned how to climb out of his crib and enjoys this independence....mom not so much. We have had a few sleepless nights and days which has been rough. We are working through it though and hope it gets better soon. He is talking so well and learns 2-3 new words everyday. (It's nice now that he can communicate with me). He knows most of his major body parts, colors, and shapes. He is obsessed with watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Bubble Guppies. His personality is all about fun and discovering. He is showing signs of being ready to potty train but I'm holding off for a while. I don't think he is quite mentally developed/ready to handle the potty yet.

That's all for now! love you all!
